Frequent questions for applicants
Everything you want to know before applying — answered honestly. Application process, working hours, diagnostic equipment, career changers and apprenticeship at KFZ Dietrich.
- The easiest way is via WhatsApp to our workshop number. Briefly write who you are and what you do — that is it. No cover letter, no application form. We will get back to you within 24 hours.
- No. Just tell us what you have done so far and what interests you. We look at your skills and your motivation, not at a formatted PDF. If you have a CV, you can of course send it along — but it is not required.
- No. We treat every inquiry in absolute confidence. No one is contacted, nothing is posted. The conversation stays between you and us — promised.
- You come in at 07:30 in the morning and experience a normal working day. You look around, ask questions, work along — depending on how comfortable you feel. We take a break together at noon. At the end of the day we talk openly: Does it fit for you? Does it fit for us? No pressure, no commitment.
- Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 16:30. No weekends, no shift work, no overtime culture. When the workday ends at 16:30, it ends.
- Fair and above the standard scale. The exact figure depends on your experience and your skills — we discuss this openly in a personal conversation. We believe: those who do good work should also be paid well.
- Yes. If you bring manual skills — for example as an electrician, locksmith or industrial mechanic — you will get a structured onboarding with us. Depending on your prior qualification, an external examination to become a certified vehicle mechatronics technician is also possible. We have had good experience with this path.
- Small and direct. With us there are no department heads, no meeting culture and no middlemen. The boss is in the workshop every day and your direct contact person. Decisions are made immediately, not after three weeks.
- We work with XENTRY (Mercedes-Benz), ODIS (VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat) and ISTA (BMW, Mini) — the original diagnostic systems of the manufacturers. In addition we use specialised tools for ECU programming and ECU cloning. That is not standard workshop equipment.
- Yes. We are a member of the trade guild (Innungsbetrieb) and invest in training — both manufacturer-specific and for new technologies. If you are interested in a specific topic, we talk about it. There is no standstill with us.
- Meckelstraße 8, 37181 Hardegsen (district of Gladebeck). About 30 minutes from Göttingen, 15 minutes from Northeim and 22 minutes from Einbeck. Free parking directly in front of the door. No city traffic, no congestion.
- Yes. We train vehicle mechatronics technicians — a 3.5-year dual apprenticeship. The special part: with us you work with manufacturer diagnostics from day one and learn things that in many workshops only come up after years — or not at all. Apply via WhatsApp or simply give us a call.
